David
DJ / Guitarist
Guitarist since grade school, DJ since college, wedding DJ since 2013.
Back in NJ, David played acoustic coffee shop shows & local venues with his band. He’s written hundreds of songs.
He moved to Colorado as a devout fan of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix and other timeless classics. Shortly after, his roommate freshman year took him to his first electronic show and he’s been DJing ever since.
Inspired by a whole new approach, David began fusing electronic music production with organic recordings of guitar & vocals - filling the role his high school band once supported.
Refining mixes & recording techniques has integrated with his approach to live sound - tailoring Aisle Finesse events with a trained ear & attention to detail.
DJing house parties, local bars & clubs with occasional guitar cameos, David developed a style all his own. After graduation he got into weddings & private events, kicking off a wedding day with his acoustic roots & rounding out the reception with live music fusion.
“Planning & celebrating a wedding is like writing a song. The countless rough drafts dissolve behind the scenes while the final performance feels nonchalant.”

Acoustic Ceremony

2 learned songs included
for Processional & Bride’s Entrance
Occasionally clients book an acoustic pre-ceremony for Guest Arrival though choose recorded music for the processional.
This typically applies to songs with more involved production (ex; interstellar theme, etc).
Sometimes the processional is a learned song though the Bride’s Entrance is a recorded song.
This further distinguishes the bride’s entrance from live music heard for the previous 30 minutes.
This same concept applies to the recessional:
Even when booked for live music we recommend choosing an upbeat recorded song for the recessional to match the impact of the moment.

Cocktail Hour & Dinner
Electric guitar over a LoFi jazz track:
Dancefloor soundtracks prioritize song selection with occasional opportunities for live riffs.
It’s all about reading the room - if guests are focused on dancing then David’s focus is on the mix. If people are captivated by the guitar then it’s time to rock out!
late night licks:
“This man is an absolutely wonder guitarist - don't let him downplay how good he is. If I remember correctly he's been playing since we was 12 or 14 and well before getting into the DJ scene…Not only having an amazing DJ but private guitarist all in one, was simply over the top.
Not only can he play all types of genre, the guy was rocking it behind his back. With that said, he did it very tastefully and never took the attention away from us our our event. He was very aware to pick a time in a place that made the mood, and the behind the back at the end when everyone was on the dance floor. My best man's dad has been playing for over 40 years, and his eyes were stuck on David fascinated with how good he was all while DJing.”

Reviews
Though the review at this link be the most informative, here are a few more:
"I’m not sure where to start. David was AWESOME, and I couldn’t have hand-picked a better DJ for our wedding reception. We provided a list of songs that were requested from our guests (we had them make note of their dance songs on the RSVP), and David took over from there....bouncing effortlessly between genres of music, and keeping the party (literally) BOUNCING!! We got many messages from people the next day that they didn’t have a voice left after the wedding. I would hire David again....in a heartbeat!!"

“David was phenomenal. I outlined the songs and dances I wanted and he stuck to the plan. He asked questions when necessary and took control when necessary. He had a handle on balancing what the guests wanted with what I wanted. I got multiple compliments from family and friends on his performance. He was professional, punctual and organized. We had a lot of communication early on, he responds fast to texts and emails. He did a superb job and I would highly recommend him. He did a good job balancing new “hits” music (bride’s love) with 70s-80s mix (groom’s love). He was cautious about using profanity in songs which wasn’t a problem but we appreciated it. He takes instruction but knows when to lead. I am so happy we booked David.
