David

A musician at heart

Guitarist since grade school, DJ since college.

In high school back in NJ David was playing acoustic coffee shop shows & local venues with his band. He moved to Colorado for college where his roommate inspired him to DJ. He soon began DJing house parties, local bars & clubs with occasional electric guitar cameos. Shortly after graduating he got into weddings and private events.

“The weddings that book both tend to have guests most connected with the music.”

One of David’s couples wrote a 2 page review!

Classic DJ Ceremony

Acoustic Ceremony

Up to 2 learned songs may be included for Processional & Bride’s Entrance.

Occasionally clients book an acoustic pre-ceremony for Guest Arrival though choose recorded music for the processional. This typically applies to songs with more involved production (ex; interstellar theme, etc).

Sometimes the processional is a learned song though the Bride’s Entrance is a recorded song. This further distinguishes the bride’s entrance from live music heard for the previous 30 minutes.

This same concept applies to the recessional - even when booked for live music we recommend choosing an upbeat recorded song for the recessional to match the impact of the moment.

Classic Reception DJ

Electric Reception

The video below showcases electric guitar over a LoFi jazz track produced by a local Denver artist. Similar style can be applied to Cocktail Hour & Dinner

The dancefloor soundtrack focuses on song selection though some songs lend an opportunity for quick riffs.

Including guitar is all about reading the room - if people are more focused on dancing then David’s focus is on the mix. If people are enjoying the guitar then maybe it’s time to rock out!

Example below, later in the night.

“I’d rather go the extra mile preparing unique music tailored to each guest-list than play the same mix every wedding.”

Wedding Vendor since 2013….

*New Mixes Coming Soon*

David has earned a reputation and a calendar of bookings from word of mouth. His latest uploaded mix is from 5 years ago though he is looking forward to sharing new content reflective of his current stage of DJ evolution.

2016 - electric guitar amidst a handful of wedding classics:

David is happy to accommodate whatever genre and style fits the occasion though here is a nightlife mix from Boulder in 2018 mixing upbeat pop songs, old school hip hop, and new school bangers.

Reviews

Though the review at this link be the most informative, here are a few more:

"I’m not sure where to start. David was AWESOME, and I couldn’t have hand-picked a better DJ for our wedding reception. We provided a list of songs that were requested from our guests (we had them make note of their dance songs on the RSVP), and David took over from there....bouncing effortlessly between genres of music, and keeping the party (literally) BOUNCING!! We got many messages from people the next day that they didn’t have a voice left after the wedding. I would hire David again....in a heartbeat!!"

He was amazing! He made our night so memorable! We had a blast with David!

“David was phenomenal. I outlined the songs and dances I wanted and he stuck to the plan. He asked questions when necessary and took control when necessary. He had a handle on balancing what the guests wanted with what I wanted. I got multiple compliments from family and friends on his performance. He was professional, punctual and organized. We had a lot of communication early on, he responds fast to texts and emails. He did a superb job and I would highly recommend him. He did a good job balancing new “hits” music (bride’s love) with 70s-80s mix (groom’s love). He was cautious about using profanity in songs which wasn’t a problem but we appreciated it. He takes instruction but knows when to lead. I am so happy we booked David.
