Outtakes

Note: the videos below are unlisted and shared only with prospective clients. Though our contracts include a media release enabling our portfolio, we do so with respect to client preference.

While sifting footage for highlight reels, etc, we discover classic moments our clients would enjoy though these clips may not fit into other contracted edits. Few wedding videographers offer Outtakes though we’ve come to learn how much clients enjoy these.

Despite the extensive time and artistic approach invested into highlight reels, we’ve had past clients admit that the bloopers was their favorite edit!

Editing Style / Variation

Outtakes are a free inclusion available when booking highlight reels.

Editing style varies based on…

  • Footage Captured

    • Some weddings have epic bloopers, some don’t. We cannot guarantee Outtakes since they are subjective and in the moment.

  • Client’s Sense of Humor

    • We can generally sense a client’s disposition through viewing their footage. We use our best judgment to gauge humility and humor.

  • Editor’s Creativity and/or Time Limitations

    • Since Outtakes are the last thing your editor will piece together, production quality depends on the editor’s availability and inspiration.

    • Editor’s typically balance multiple projects, time management may dictate a less involved edit.

The first video shown below is our most involved Outtakes edit yet. Some clips included were also shared in this client’s highlight reel, toasts and ceremony videos though having inspired the editor’s creativity they went above and beyond.

Typically Outtakes are reserved for private viewing by the client though McKayla & Drew loved their edit and posted it online!

Standard Style

(Most common)

This next Outtakes edit is more lightly produced with occasional background music, moments hidden from a more graceful highlight reel, and extended dancefloor scenes that the client would enjoy.

This particular wedding had a fairly traditional Catholic wedding spanning an hour and half. Our footage certainly revealed some restless guests in the pews and our clients enjoyed the humorous take produced herein.
