Layout
Given guest count limitations, most events don’t have too many cars to park. That said, it does get tight fast!
Encourage guests to carpool or pre-book transportation / shuttles.
Calling an Uber at the end of the night in Woodland Park is not always successful. When it is, expect wait times as it is not a busy area.
At our 1st event at The Summit our clients were fortunate to find one reliable Uber driver who took 5 round trips back to The Summit!
Ceremony Musicianship
Our DJ / Musician package (1 vendor) includes
live pre-ceremony music,
up 2 to learned songs for the processional & bride’s entrance,
and an Electric Reception (intermittent live accompaniment throughout the night).
Our resident DJ / Guitarist David is shown below providing a conversational soundtrack as guests arrive and make their way to their seats.
This couple chose one learned song to be played for the processional and for the bride’s entrance David returned to his DJ table and cued her song.
Planning a mix of live instrumentation & pre-recorded music can lend to an emotive impact as the sound evolves.
Tent Rental Advised
We’d rather have a tent and not need it
than need one not have it
To date, we’ve only had consistent rain once and two events that rearranged their timelines to accommodate the weather. Colorado is known for fluctuating systems - typically rain showers pass within 15-30 minutes.
The wedding where we experienced consistent rain did not rent a tent but their good spirited guests made a splash on the dance floor!
The tent shown below was used for dinner on a day with a few passing showers. Spikes are not allowed though cinderblocks hold this 20 x 40 tent in place.

Set ups may vary per event
Speaker Placement
Out of respect for the neighbors, speakers are kept at a modest volume until aimed away from other homes
For dancefloor volume, speakers aim towards the national park on the east side
Music must conclude by 10pm
Guests inside or off-site by 10:30pm
Reception Musicians
The photos above were captured in September when the start of the dancefloor coincided with sunset. The photographer & videographer captured stunning portraits of the bride & groom while guests caught up with friends and family.
Some groovy live guitar entertained guests until the sun set and the party began.
Our DJ + Musician package includes intermittent accompaniment through the reception. Dancefloor inclusion is largely dependent on reading the crowd.
Your DJ’s priority is song selection though if the crowd responds well to live accompaniment we give the people what they want!

Uplights (6)
Chauvet Flex H4 IP - more rain resistant than our other uplights
Fits between windows to highlight the architecture
Glow Totems (2)
The photos below were taken by a DJ assistant to display lighting concepts.
Your photographer will likely use a flash for photos focused on you and your guests with more natural skin tones.
Private Last Dance
One last moment for the newlyweds to bask in the afterglow of their wedding. Pairs well with a Send Off since guests will clear the dancefloor while igniting sparklers with their wedding planners.
Send Off or Dance?
Have a private last dance while guests head to the front of the house and arrange for a Send Off into a Getaway Car…
or…
Head to the edge of the property with all your guests for a photo op dance and then return to the dancefloor. Your photographer can then leave before the end of the night if need be and the party continues!

Winding Road - Roof Rack POV
One of our couples rented a Maserati and made it up this drive just fine BEFORE it was semi-paved.
That said, there’s only one shuttle service that effectively accommodates The Summit.
RELYING ON UBER / LYFT IS NOT RECOMMENDED
Mobile Bars / trailers warrant finesse. Notes below for applicable vendors:
Front gate may be closed / locked - ask your wedding planner for access code
Pause the video at 6:27 and note the drain on the left of the frame, watch out for this!
We had a ‘fun’ 20 point turn to get out of there once one of our vendors came to close to slipping in.
Mobile bars may want to back in similar as shown in the video below
Depends on which side the hitch is on the mobile bar.
Likely want to park with the hitch facing the entrance for ease of removal / re-hitching at EOD
Trailers will have to start a bit further up the driveway in order to make the turn.
Without further adieu, video below…
